It makes a very attractive sport dog which can be easily maintained.

Breed

The American Kennel Club recognized the Dalmatian in 1888.

The Dalmatian originally comes from Croatia in the district of Dalmatia.

This breed was used as a guard dog in Dalmatia, as well as shepherds, a circus dog, and a coaching dog.

The United States brought a different path such as work as a firehouse dog. It is able to rescue people trapped in burning buildings.

Appearance

The average size of the Dalmatian is about 19-23 inches high, and 55-70 pounds in weight.

It has a long body and strong bones.

The feet are round with a white color.

The color pattern of the spots is usually bicolor, which covers the body, belly, head, and legs.

It is a tall dog, and it has dropped ears.

The Dalmatian’s eyes are blue and brown. These combinations can make this dog very attractive.

Nutrition

You should feed your pets according to its size and activity levels.

It is recommended to provide feed formulated to medium-sized breeds. It is highly recommended to discuss your dog’s feed with your veterinarian and/or breeder in order to determine the size and frequency of meals in order to ensure a healthy, long life. It is also important to ensure that clean, fresh water is always available.

Grooming

Even though the Dalmatian is a clean dog, with dry and shiny fur, daily grooming of the fur is recommended. The occasional bath is also required in order to keep them healthy.

Brush its teeth at least three times a week.

Go to professional groom for every 6-8 weeks.

Exercise

The Dalmatian needs 15-30 minutes of exercise every day. A good example of this is a moderate walk in the morning.
